Addressing sustainability has never been more important, so why are some businesses still reluctant to install electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at their premises?
Well, according to the team behind Tevi, it all lies in a far-too-complicated information process.
Now, they’re making things easier than ever thanks to a new online recommendation tool, custom-built by the crew right here at Buzz.
For some businesses, becoming more sustainable can be a real struggle, and it really can come down to just a lack of information and accessibility - an issue which the team at Tevi know all too well.
That’s because, despite the steady growth in sales of electric vehicles, they’ve realised businesses have been hesitant to install chargers, thanks to little guidance on what they need to do.
But Tevi, an ERDF-funded project run by the University of Exeter (in partnership with Cornwall Council, Cornwall Wildlife Trust and Cornwall Development Company), is all about working on economic and environmental growth across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly – and the team weren’t ready to give up.
What they needed was an online tool which would simplify the process for businesses and do the research for them. Working closely with our own crew, they were able to deliver exactly that.
So, how did we do it? Well, it really was about keeping it simple.
From following a detailed brief to producing the finished tool, every step of the way was rooted in making things easier for the user, so picking sustainability wouldn’t be a problem ever again.
To do this, we created a system that would harness data through targeted questions about the nature of their business, before utilising it to automatically create recommendations – from the type and number of suitable chargers to how to access financial support, if applicable.
The result? A hassle-free system that gives bespoke advice at the click of a few buttons.
