Project Coordinator

Full time maternity cover initially with scope to extend to permanent

Location: Newquay, Cornwall

We’re looking for a highly organised person, who thrives on process, to join our team in Newquay, Cornwall. This role is to cover for maternity leave initially, but has the potential to continue into a permanent position for the right candidate. You’ll need to enjoy working in a customer-facing role and balancing this with the work-flow in the studio – whilst always having a great eye for detail!

Your role will be to run client projects, supported by one of the Directors. You will be responsible for the planning and monitoring of multiple activities, from website development to apps and games. Liaising with the team of developers you will ensure that deadlines are met, the expectations of the client are managed correctly and that they receive great customer service.

Example duties:

  • Build happy working relationships with clients
  • Create project plans and cost proposals
  • Liaise with the development team to plan and deliver projects to deadlines
  • Communicate project progress to clients and manage expectations
  • Check work completed by the team to ensure it has met the project brief
  • Manage and report on key project progress metrics and profitability
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree level qualification
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Customer relationship management experience
  • Excellent communicator 
  • Ideally experience of the web development/app development sector
  • Ability to manage and monitor budgets
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel) or iWork (Pages, Numbers) 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects through to completion and clients concurrently

Having many of the qualities above will be ideal, but don’t worry if you haven’t got everything. Most important to us is a good fit with the rest of the team, a people person with desire to do your best, learn as you go and contribute to making Buzz a company that clients really enjoy working with.
